Halloween

I didn’t know that Halloween originated from the Pagan festival Samhain, which celebrated among the Celts of Ireland and Great Britain. Irish and Scottish immigrants carried versions of the tradition to North America in the nineteenth century. I always thought that Halloween originated from America. Now it seems like American holiday!
Many European cultural traditions, in particular Celtic cultures, hold that Halloween is one of the times of the year when spirits can make contact with the physical world, and when magic is most potent. It sounds very mystically :)
I don’t celebrate Halloween, but sometimes I carve out some pumpkins with my nephew. Do you?
